Kelfords Ford & Mazda, situated in Somerset West in the Helderberg, is an independently-owned family dealership with ties to Ford Motor Company in the UK since 1976. Owner and Managing Director, Peter Kelly, started his motor industry career as a sales rep with a Main Ford dealer in Manchester, England. After moving to Cape Town in the early 80’s, he has been associated with Ford Motor Company in South Africa as the franchise director for a major retail group which led to him being awarded both the Ford and Mazda franchises in 2003.

In 2005 Peter’s son, Tristan, joined the Kelfords team after completing his B.Com degree in Business at Stellenbosch University and is now a director responsible for new and used vehicle sales. The Kelfords management team also includes Linda, married to Peter, who has been involved as a marketing director since the company's inception.
